Hundreds of residents of Derik, in the Jazera Canton, young and old, men and women, participated in a march in support of the Syrian Democratic Forces and in condemnation of the attacks by the Turkish occupying state and its mercenaries on the North and East Syria region.

The march began at Freedom Square in the city center, where participants carried flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. They also held banners with messages of support for the forces, such as "Hand in hand with the Syrian Democratic Forces," "The SDF has watered the homeland's soil with the blood of its brave heroes," and "The SDF are the protectors of the homeland."

The procession moved through the main neighborhoods of Derik, with chants like "Long live the Syrian Democratic Forces" and "The SDF is the hope of the people." Upon reaching the central market, participants paused for a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs.

Following this, Marwan Hamo, a member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Derik, addressed the crowd, stating: "The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are the only ones who have confronted the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries and defended the Syrian people."

Marwan Hamo addressed the people, saying: "Therefore, dear people, amidst the changes occurring in Syria, we must declare our solidarity with the Syrian Democratic Forces and not be swayed by the sedition and psychological warfare orchestrated by Turkey and its mercenaries in an attempt to undermine stability and coexistence among all components of North and East Syria."

Hamo noted that the forces in North and East Syria, since the start of the Syrian crisis, have taken on the historic responsibility of protecting the region's people from aggression and have worked tirelessly for years to achieve this. "It is now our duty to repay this favor and support the forces with all we can to confront occupation and extermination attacks and protect the democratic project represented by the Autonomous Administration."

The march concluded with participants chanting slogans praising the strength and resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces against the violent attacks launched by the Turkish occupying state and its mercenaries.
