A local source from the occupied city of Tal Abyad reported large popular demonstrations in the occupied city and town of Suluk, denouncing the theft of their wheat crops into Turkey.

According to the source, the demonstrators are calling for the expulsion of the local council and corrupt officials from the so-called "economic" apparatus affiliated with the Turkish occupation, which controls their sources of income.

Turkey and its mercenaries occupied the city of Tal Abyad on October 9, 2019, following an offensive launched against it. Since then, they have been committing the most heinous violations and crimes against the remaining residents, including murder and looting of property, in addition to controlling their livelihoods and sources of income through their mercenaries.
