Demands for immediate disclosure leader Ocalan's health in Imrali prison

The Martyrs' Families Councils in the North and East Syria region and the Democratic Union Party in Aleppo condemned the violations of the Turkish occupation state against the leader Abdullah Ocalan and demanded the immediate disclosure of the leader's health status after the earthquake that struck an area near Imrali.

On Sunday, the Martyrs' Families Council in Afrin and al-Shahba canton made a statement denouncing the violations of the Turkish occupation state against leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison, and the failure to disclose his health condition.

The statement was delivered in Sardam camp in Al-Ahdath district by council members Judy Mustafa and Ibrahim Kanjo.

The statement called for revealing the status of leader Abdullah Ocalan after the earthquake that struck an area near Imrali prison. It also condemned the violations committed against him and the silence of international powers and human rights organizations regarding them.

Aleppo

In this context, the Democratic Union Party in Aleppo made a statement to public opinion, which was read in front of the March 8 Hall, located in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the city of Aleppo. By the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party Council in Afrin and Al-Shahba canton, Valentina Abdo.

The statement said: “The isolation imposed on the internationalist Abdullah Ocalan by the Turkish fascist state and the conspiring countries in solitary confinement on that remote island, let the whole world know that these practices are a loss of moral concepts and a corruption of human rights values and principles.”

He stated, "The situation in Imrali is still ambiguous, as the Turkish authorities do not respond to the requests submitted by the lawyers to visit the leader, and the main reason for the severe isolation and torture practiced against him is primarily due to the failure of the forces of global hegemony and capitalist modernity to achieve their goals, to achieve which they established the conspiracy that targeted the leader."

The statement stressed, "We are concerned about the leader's situation after the earthquake that struck the Kemlik district, which is close to Imrali prison. Therefore, we demand immediate disclosure of his situation and permission for his family and lawyers, and we hold the Committee Against Torture (CPT) responsible for the violations of the Turkish occupation."

Al-Hasakah

In Al-Hasakah, the statement was read at the shrine of the martyr Djawar by a member of the Martyrs’ Families Council, Shaima Aqra’, and the statement called on the Turkish occupation state to provide clear evidence and prove that the leader was not exposed to any harm.

Tal Tamr

In the Tal Tamr district, the Martyrs’ Families Council organized a protest in the council’s garden in Tal Tamr, and then a statement was read by council member Muhammad Aliyat. The statement called on: “Human rights organizations concerned with the rights of prisoners, led by the Committee Against Torture (CPT), to pressure the Turkish government to allow lawyers and his family should visit him and check on his health condition, and we hold those organizations and institutions historically, morally and legally responsible for any harm that befalls the leader.”

Al-Darbasiyah

During a statement read before the council by Fawza Yousef, a member of the Martyrs’ Families Council in the Darbasiyah District, the Martyrs’ Families Council in the Darbasiyah District denounced the strict isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan for 3 years.

The statement called on human rights organizations and the international community to put pressure on the Turkish state to break the isolation and reveal the health status of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Al-Shaddadi

In turn, the Martyrs' Families Council in the Al-Shaddadi district made a statement that was read at the Martyrs' Shrine by the council's administrator, Ayat Al-Ibrahim: "What the leader Abdullah Ocalan is exposed to in the Turkish fascist prison has become very disturbing, and we will raise the pace of the struggle until we achieve the freedom of our leader."

The statement stressed, “As a pledge from us, O leader of the democratic nation, who called for the freedom of peoples and women, we will give what is dear and precious until we achieve his physical freedom.”
