Delegation of N. Kurdistan discusses Leader Ocalan's call with NE Syria’s parties
To discuss "The Call for Peace and a Democratic Society" made by Leader Abdullah Ocalan, The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM) and the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) met with several political parties and institutions in Rojava, where they listened to opinions and suggestions.
Before leaving for North Kurdistan, the delegation, consisting of political parties and forces from North Kurdistan, completed its visit to the region of North and East Syria today to explain Leader Ocalan’s “Call for Peace and a Democratic Society” and discuss the overall developments in the area.
Today, the delegation, led by the co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Keskin Bayindir, the executive committee member of the Peoples' Democratic Party (DEM Partî), Serhad Arin, and members of the Turkish parliament from the party, Salih Aydin, Kolcan Cazmaz, and Mohammed Kamaj, visited the People's Municipality in Qamishlo, the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syria, and the Syrian Yazidi Union.
Regarding the purpose of the visit and the discussions held by the delegation with various parties and institutions, Mohammed Kamaj, a member of the Peoples' Democratic Party (DEM Partî) in Amed, stated in an interview with ANHA agency: "We held a series of meetings with various parties to discuss the ongoing developments in the Middle East and the current peace process in Turkey and North Kurdistan."
Kamaj noted that these meetings aimed to listen to various opinions and receive suggestions. He added, "We present our proposals to them, record their observations and criticisms. There are questions about how the peace process is progressing in North Kurdistan, and our efforts and meetings on this matter continue."
Kamaj clarified, "We visited different parties and organizations to discuss the Kurdish issue and its resolution, and the impact of the ongoing peace process and democratic society in North Kurdistan on all of Kurdistan and the region."
The delegation of the DEM Party will continue its tour by visiting the Syrian Democratic Council's center before leaving Rojava and heading to North Kurdistan tomorrow.
A delegation consisting of political parties and forces from North Kurdistan arrived in North and East Syria on April 24 to participate in the "Conference on Kurdish Unity and Stance in Rojava" and to discuss Leader Abdullah Ocalan's call made on February 26 of this year under the title "Peace and a Democratic Society."
