A document obtained by ANHA agency reveals that the Damascus government is responsible for the attacks on the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

Under the cover of artillery and mortar fire, groups from the Damascus government forces and those of the so-called National Defense launched a ground assault on areas along the Euphrates River east of Deir ez-Zor late last night and this morning. Violent clashes erupted between the Deir ez-Zor and Hajin military councils and the attacking groups around the villages of Diban, al-Latwa, and Abu Hamam.

Two civilians were martyred and 7 others were injured in the attack by the Damascus government forces. However, the Syrian Democratic Forces are countering this attack.

The document is issued by the so-called General Secretariat of the operations room of the National Defense mercenaries.
