DAA: Pope Francis’ legacy will remain inspiration to everyone
The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Pope Francis and affirmed that "his legacy will remain an inspiration to all."
Today, the Department of Foreign Relations of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a condolence message regarding the passing of Pope Francis, stating:
“With great sadness, we extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Pope Francis, one of the most prominent figures to ever hold the papal office. He left behind a legacy of coexistence and solidarity with the poor and marginalized. His legacy of love and peace will continue to inspire us all.”
The Vatican announced today, through an official statement, the death of Pope Francis at the age of 88, following a period of illness during his 12-year papacy.
