DAA offers condolences to Morocco over victims of floods

The Representation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in North Africa extended its deepest condolences to the Kingdom of Morocco following the exceptional thunderstorm rainfall that struck the Safi region, causing damage and losses. It expressed its full solidarity with the Moroccan people and wished safety to those affected.

Thirty-seven people lost their lives in the coastal city of Safi, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in the Kingdom of Morocco, due to flash floods that followed heavy rainfall on Sunday, leading to water inundating a large number of homes and shops.

In this context, the Representation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in North Africa offered its deepest condolences to the families of the victims through a statement, in which it confirmed that “the exceptional thunderstorm rainfall that the Safi region witnessed resulted, according to available data as of Monday morning, in the death toll rising to 37.”

The Representation expressed its profound sorrow and grief over this painful tragedy, extending mercy to the souls of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, and safety and security to all those affected.

It also renewed its full solidarity and sincere support for the brotherly Moroccan people and the Moroccan government during this difficult time, praying that God Almighty protect Morocco and its people from all harm.
