Cautious calm around Tishreen Dam after yesterday’s clashes

A state of cautious calm prevails around Tishreen Dam, south of Kobani, following the artillery shelling the area was subjected to yesterday by the forces of Syria’s transitional government, after the Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the sources of fire and raised the readiness level of their forces in anticipation of any potential escalation.

ANHA correspondents reported that the surroundings of the villages of Haj Hussein and Sheikh Mohshi, as well as the Syriatel Hill in the vicinity of Tishreen Dam south of Kobani, have witnessed a cautious calm since this morning, following the artillery shelling carried out by the forces of Syria’s transitional government yesterday.

This calm came after the Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the sources of fire, contributing to the cessation of the shelling.

The area has also seen the Syrian Democratic Forces raise their level of readiness in anticipation of any possible escalation, amid ongoing vigilance and caution to safeguard the security of the area and the safety of civilians and vital infrastructure, according to ANHA correspondents’ observations.
