DAA of Jazera: People's resistance thwarted plots of enemies

DAA issued a statement in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of its founding, which falls on January 21.

The statement said: “In the spirit of the revolutionary people’s war, we will defeat the occupation and protect our revolution. We congratulate our people on the tenth anniversary of the establishment of DAA in Jazera Canton.”

'A model for a democratic solution in Syria and the region'

It added: “The absence of projects for a solution and democratic transformation is due to the lack of seriousness and responsibility of those who claimed to lead the revolution, and who have become mercenaries for the forces that occupy Syrian lands, as well as the regime that faced the people’s demands for freedom and dignity with the machine of war and killing."

Declaration of  DAA  in Jazera Canton on the twenty-first of January 2014, and then in Kobani and Afrin became the basic foundation for the establishment of AANES, after the liberation of all regions from ISIS terrorism by SDF, which provided great sacrifices to save our people and the entire world."

  "Today's Democratic Autonomous Administration represents the aspirations of the people of NE Syria for freedom, dignity, and building a democratic Syria; it has fought terrorist organizations with all their descriptions, as well as the Turkish occupation state, the main financier and primary supporter of separatist projects in the region through its support for terrorist groups.”

 "Turkey is exploiting the regional and international circumstances, as it practices organized international terrorism in occupation of our regions in Afrin, Girê Spi, and Serêkaniyê, and pursues policies of demographic change in the occupied regions. Turkey also launches attacks on infrastructure and service facilities, and following a scorched earth policy to eliminate our democratic project."

 We affirm that we are proceeding with determination and resolve to end the Turkish occupation of our regions, and return the displaced people to their homes, and develop this democratic project, which has become a model for the future Syria, which meets the aspirations of the Syrian people, and is sought through the Syrian Solution Initiative."

DAA called on the international community to carry out its responsibilities to advance the political process for the Syrian solution through relevant international resolutions, especially Resolution 2254, and to put pressure on the Turkish occupation state to stop its aggression against our regions, hold it accountable for its crimes, and support the Syrian Democratic Forces in their fight against the threat of ISIS.

  We assure our people that we are continuing, with the determination and strength of our great people, in our journey towards construction and development. Now we have many major tasks that require performing them at this stage and confronting the occupation, terrorism, and the difficulties left behind by the recent attacks.

We call on all components of the region to unify ranks in order to confront all attempts aimed at striking our gains, and we all join hands to develop our administration through the implementation of the new Social Contract.
