DAA: Kobani resistance achieved qualitative result in society

November 1st marks the International Day for Kobani, and on this occasion the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement to the public opinion.

 It stated: "The city of Kobani witnessed a fierce attack by ISIS mercenaries and their supporters with the aim of undermining it and the resistance of its people in 2014.

 The Kobani resistance defeated the ISIS  and its supporters and ended the dream of building an emirate of extremism in the region. This resistance was a direct support and defense for the entire region and the world, by preventing the development of terrorism and thwarting an extremism project that threatens the world.

 The declaration of "November 1 as the International Day for Kobani" was a historic path in supporting the resistance of peoples against extremism and for the sake of dignity. Kobani also turned into a national symbol that unites all components and parties.

 On the occasion of the International Day for Kobani (November 1), we remember the resistance of Kobani, salute our people, and remember its heroic martyrs, as well as the global support and support through this day. We repeat our thanks every year on this occasion to all those who supported and backed this resistance.

 We confirm to our people that we will continue on the path of resistance and struggle and will achieve victory and liberate our occupied areas.
