Today, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Tabqa issued a formal statement regarding the ongoing situation in the coastal region. The statement was read by Fatima Al-Saleh, the Co-Vice President of the Executive Council of the Administration.

The statement emphasized the necessity of ensuring the security of civilians, putting an end to killings, torture, and massacres, and holding the perpetrators accountable. It also reaffirmed the unity of Syrian territories with their religious, cultural, and national diversity while stressing the importance of ending the ongoing bloodshed and preventing the unjust persecution of innocent individuals under sectarian or religious pretexts.

Furthermore, the statement called on the new Syrian administration to ensure that those responsible for these atrocities are brought to justice in fair and transparent trials. It also urged the international community to closely monitor the Syrian situation and to protect the people striving to build a unified, democratic, and decentralized Syria.

In parallel, the components of Hasaka in Al-Jazira Canton issued a statement condemning these massacres. The statement was delivered in Freedom Square by Fatima Hassan, the Co-Chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD).

The statement strongly condemned the massacres committed against civilians in the Syrian coastal region by factions affiliated with Jolani's government, describing them as a dangerous escalation that threatens all Syrians. It further held the states that legitimized the "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" government responsible for these events.

Additionally, the statement expressed deep condolences to the victims' families, standing in solidarity with them against these horrific crimes, which are a disgrace to humanity, Islam, and Muslims alike.

The statement warned that the Syrian people are facing the threat of genocide due to the sectarian extremist ideology espoused by these factions. It cautioned against continued international support for such extremist mentalities, stressing that those who provide backing to these groups are complicit in these crimes.

The statement reiterated that the true path to lasting peace in Syria and the Middle East lies in the model of the Democratic Nation, which is founded on the principles of brotherhood of peoples, equality, and peaceful coexistence.

Moreover, the Democratic Islam Conference of North and East Syria and the Bar Association of Al-Jazira Canton have issued separate statements condemning the crimes being perpetrated against civilians in the Syrian coastal region.

The statement of the Democratic Islam Conference was read in Qamishli by Sheikh Sinan Saidoush, a member of the conference's Shura Council.

The statement emphasized that: "Over the past three months following the fall of the tyrant, we have heard declarations and promises that inspire hope and herald a bright future for all Syrians, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or sectarian affiliations.

However, the ongoing atrocities in the Syrian coastal areas, home to a majority of the Alawite community, involving indiscriminate killings and massacres against innocent civilians—children, elderly, women, and men—without distinction, are acts driven solely by a desire for revenge against the sect to which the former leader of the defunct Ba'athist regime belonged."*

The statement further stressed that: "These heinous attacks constitute a blatant violation of religious and moral values as well as international conventions. They reflect a criminal tendency that threatens the unity of Syria’s social fabric and the stability of the entire region."

The Democratic Islam Conference unequivocally condemned these acts, describing them as terrorist crimes that bear no relation to any religion, faith, or legal principle. The statement rejected sectarian and hate rhetoric aimed at sowing division among the Syrian people and reaffirmed the importance of promoting peaceful coexistence and equal citizenship.

Accordingly, the conference called on religious scholars and intellectuals to intensify efforts to spread a culture of tolerance and moderation and to combat extremist ideologies that seek to justify such crimes.

The Bar Association of Al-Jazira Canton issued its statement from its new headquarters in Qamishli, delivered by lawyer Iman Mahmoud.

The statement read : "The crimes taking place in the coastal region constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and amount to crimes against humanity."

Based on this, the Bar Association of Al-Jazira Canton made the following demands:

 1. Immediate humanitarian aid must be delivered to all affected areas, and relief organizations must be granted full access to provide assistance, particularly to displaced persons forced to flee their homes due to escalating violence.

 2. The justification of mass killings of civilians under the pretext of security operations is categorically rejected. The targeting of innocent civilians—whether under official cover or through the silent complicity of responsible entities—constitutes a crime against humanity that must not go unpunished.

3. The use of heavy weaponry in civilian areas is strongly condemned due to its devastating impact on civilian lives. All parties must adhere to the principle of proportionality in the use of force, in accordance with international law.

 4. All perpetrators of killings, forced displacement, and human rights violations since 2011—whether individuals, official entities, or non-state actors—must be held accountable before national or hybrid courts to ensure justice and end the culture of impunity.

 5. Heartfelt condolences are extended to the families of the victims, and wishes for a swift recovery are expressed to the wounded. The association also conveys full solidarity with all those affected by these violations.

 6. The state must represent all its components without discrimination. Any continuation of exclusionary policies threatens to prolong the conflict and exacerbate the suffering of the Syrian people.

 7. All Syrian forces are urged to adopt national dialogue as the pathway to resolving the crisis, in line with the principles of justice and accountability and within the framework of UN Security Council Resolution 2254 (2015), which calls for a comprehensive political solution to the Syrian conflict.

 8. An immediate and unconditional cessation of all military operations targeting civilians is imperative. The use of collective punishment as a response to specific security incidents is condemned as a grave violation of international law.

 9. All crimes and violations committed against civilians are strongly condemned as they constitute crimes against humanity. The perpetrators must be prosecuted before national and international courts to ensure accountability.
