Confidence in winning elections in Amad: We will restore people's will

Less than a month left for municipal elections in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey (31 March), the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Partnership), which relies on the Local Democratic Governance Program guaranteeing freedom, began preparing for elections through the announcement of its candidates in all cities of northern Kurdistan and a number of Turkish cities, and the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party unveiled its election program under the slogan "Towards free cities with local democracy", pledged to restore the people's municipalities captured by the governors to the people. Women are leading the election campaign of the People's Equality, with women represented in the largest party in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan. 

The election campaign continues in Amad. The co-chairmanship of the Amad Democratic Provinces Party, Sultan Yarai, gave a statement regarding the elections and noted women's willingness to restore municipalities in the elections with enthusiasm. She stated that when the governors (State officials appointed instead of mayors) took over the institutions, they first turned to women's institutions and said: "Not only have the governors been appointed in the municipalities, but they have been charged with the issues of our culture, our language and all areas, So they attacked people's institutions when they were appointed, they did not allow children to learn in their mother tongue, They kept the youth centres away from their objectives, closed down some institutions, But we will restore these institutions to their core function, we will restore women's institutions to institutions that solve women's problems, We will transform children and youth centres into institutions that serve children and young people again ".

"Women preserve their achievements."

Sultan Yarai explained that women have achieved great achievements in Kurdistan, and that Kurdish women in particular have achieved achievements that have affected the entire world, and she continued: "We open women's electoral offices, and this is done with great enthusiasm. Women support us and do not leave us alone. This increases our morale and encourages us to continue, and this reflects the will of women to preserve their achievements."

"Attacks on our achievements will continue as long as isolation continues."

Sultan drew attention to holding people's meetings with people to determine their programmes, receive their demands and continue: "The fundamental requirement at all our pre-election meetings was to raise the frequency of the events calling for the lifting of isolation. Isolation is the root of all the current problems and its primary cause. So the people want to lift this isolation, so the attacks on our achievements will continue as long as this isolation continues, so the most important and first requirement for the Kurdish people, especially women, is to lift the isolation."

"The Kurds will not bow to anyone."

Sultan Yarai noted that isolation has also devastated Turkey's economy, stating: "Isolation is not just an illegal attack on Mr. Ocalan. but an attack on the entire Kurdish people, nature and all spheres of life, Policies of extermination have been pursued against the Kurdish people for over a century. But they did not succeed, because the Kurds did not accept the acquiescence of anyone, so they realized that they would not succeed in exterminating the Kurds, They're just destroying themselves in this war. Here we see the state of Turkey's economy today. Many clips of people collecting leftovers from containers have gone viral in many areas of Turkey and the reason for all this is the constant and endless war, so the war must be brought to an end first ".

Mr. Ocalan introduced the third line policy.

Sultan Yarai emphasized that leader Abdullah Ocalan was the addressee in resolving the Kurdish issue, concluding: "The world at large recognizes this, bringing the world together that in order to solve the crises and problems in the Middle East, isolation must be lifted, there is global pressure to lift isolation, and friends of the Kurdish people have launched this campaign (the campaign demanding the attainment of ledader  Ocalan's freedom), and it continues with great enthusiasm, because it was Mr. Ocalan who introduced the policy of the third line of the world, and an entity based on the policy of the third line was achieved in Rojava, and it cannot be said that one of the components is dominant there.
