Amid the ongoing state of general mobilization declared by the Autonomous Administration in Jazira Canton to confront the challenges facing the region, Hazna village, located north of Tel Tamr, stands out as a clear example of social cohesion and grassroots organization that combines self-protection, logistical support, and moral backing for the military forces deployed around the area.

From the very first moment of the announcement, the village transformed into a hive of activity. Responsibilities were distributed in an organized manner among residents—young and old, men and women—in a scene that reflects unity of purpose and clarity of mission.

Organizing protection as a shared responsibility

The response began with the formation of local patrol groups taking shifts to guard the entrances of the village and the surrounding agricultural lands. Dilyar Al-Khalaf, one of the young participants in the protection efforts, said:

“We divided shifts around the clock, 24 hours a day, since the declaration of general mobilization. Each group monitors a specific entrance and remains in direct contact with the security forces.”

Al-Khalaf noted that this collective organization has strengthened security within the village and prevented any potential threats.

Community initiative to support military forces

The role of the villagers has not been limited to organizing local protection. It has also extended to providing logistical support to military forces stationed on the Tel Tamr and Mount Kazwan fronts. Villagers allocated a house as a site for preparing meals, where men, women, and youth gather daily to carry out their tasks.

Mohammad Ali, one of the main supervisors of the cooking efforts, said:

“We are the sons of this land, and it is our duty to stand by the fighters who protect our villages. Preparing food is the least we can offer. We work as one team—women and men—to secure meals and deliver them to the military forces.”

Meanwhile, young men and women are responsible for securing essential supplies and organizing them. Haroun Al-Khalaf said:

“As the youth of the village, we arrange materials, prepare supplies, support families, and clean the food preparation centers. Our presence today in the fields and kitchens is part of our duty.”

The villagers affirm that their actions today prove that defending the land begins with community unity and cohesion. They call on all residents of the region to actively participate in the general mobilization and fulfill their responsibilities.
