The families of the martyrs in the city of Tal Tamr, Jazera Canton, today organized a ceremony to honor 99 martyrs from the Syrian Democratic Forces, People's Defense Units, Women's Protection Units, Self-Defense Forces, the Assyrian Khabur Guards Council, Internal Security Forces, and People's Defense Forces, who were martyred in various places and years during the months of July, August, September, October, and November. The ceremony took place in the Martyrs' Families Council hall in Tal Tamr.

In the hall, there were portraits of leader Abdullah Ocalan, the 99 martyrs, and the ceremony was attended by the martyrs' families, their comrades, members of civil society organizations, and the people of Tal Tamr.

The ceremony began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs' souls. Then, poet Nalin Younis recited some verses praising the sacrifices of the martyrs.

The co-chair of the Martyrs' Families Council in Tal Tamr, Mohamed Aliyat, gave a speech in which he said, "The soil that mixed with the blood of the martyrs has become pure, and the victory achieved at sunset was paid for by the martyrs at sunrise."

He added, "While the world receives condolences for its martyrs, we receive congratulations. It is our duty to stick to the path that the martyrs followed. History may forget us, but it never forgets the martyrs."

Aliyat directed a message to leader Abdullah Ocalan, saying, "When we remember this group of martyrs, we promise to continue on your path and the path of the martyrs."

Then, Suheila David delivered a speech on behalf of the Assyrian Martyrs' Families Council, saying, "Today, we remember a group of our heroes who sacrificed their most precious possession so that we could live in peace."

She emphasized that "these martyrs defended the land and the peoples of the region against the most dangerous terrorist organizations."

She concluded by saying, "We swear by the blood of our heroic martyrs from all components, and we promise them to walk in their path until their goals are achieved and to confront all international and colonial conspiracies being plotted against us."

The ceremony ended with a slideshow displaying the pictures of the 99 martyrs, affirming their sacrifices and their crucial role in defending their land and community.
