Command of Internal Security Forces issues general amnesty

In a statement addressed to the public, the General Command emphasized that the current phase requires unified efforts to protect the gains of the Syrian revolution, aiming to liberate the country from dictatorship and terrorism, and to build a decentralized democratic Syria.

The statement noted that Syrian society has never experienced stability since the establishment of the state, due to centralizing policies and the concentration of authority in the hands of a single individual rather than the people.

It recalled that the 2011 Syrian revolution marked a new stage of struggle for dignity and freedom, and that the present stage demands democratic integration between the Transitional Government and the Autonomous Administration on a national and unifying basis.

The General Command stressed that the Internal Security Forces, founded 11 years ago, were not merely a security institution but a moral and national commitment to the principles of the revolution, praising the sacrifices of its members who served faithfully despite hardships.

To revive national responsibility and strengthen the institution, the General Command announced:

Amnesty for desertion or absence from service, provided that the member surrenders within 45 days from the date of the announcement. The surrender will be formally documented according to approved procedures.

Dismissed personnel may apply to return to service within the Internal Security Forces, unless their dismissal was due to a judicial ruling or violation of public decency.

No punitive or disciplinary action will be taken against those who surrender within the specified period.

The statement concluded by inviting all former members to return and join the renewed path, emphasizing that protecting the homeland is not only through arms but also through justice, peace, and popular solidarity.
