Five people, including a woman, were killed as a result of clashes and shelling of a house in the Jableh countryside in Latakia.

Five people were killed in clashes erupted between Syrian Interim Government security forces and the al-Joud brigade near the city of Jableh in the Latakia countryside.

The clashes coincided with the shelling of a house with a 23mm cannon, resulting in the deaths of five people and inflicting damage on several homes in the villages of Mazraat al-Shazriqa, Tel Huwayri, and Kenkaru. The shelling originated from the village of Qarfis, where the Interim Government forces are stationed.

According to Interim Government sources, the death toll included one of their own soldiers, three members of al-Joud Saraya, and a civilian woman who was inside the house that was shelled.
