The popular initiative, along with Arab tribal leaders in Çil Agha, issued a statement to the public today, read in front of the Democratic Union Party office by one of the sheikhs of the Zubaid tribe in Syria and a member of the NE Syria Council, Raghib al-Fares.

The statement declared, "We, the sheikhs and dignitaries of the Arab tribes and the popular initiative in Çil Agha, proudly and firmly stand united against all external interventions and attempts to create discord among our tribes and people."

The statement condemned "external interventions that attempt to use tribal divisions to disrupt security and stability in our areas and destroy our social fabric." It urged the tribes of Deir ez-Zor and al-Bukamal "not to be swayed by the so-called National Defense and to support the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in resisting them."

It emphasized, "We will be a united front and a solid rock against all conspiracies and plots because we are one homeland. We must protect our country from external conspiracies with imperialist agendas and stand against them, building a democratic Syria for all Syrians."

In a related statement, Arab, Kurdish, and Turkmen tribes in the Euphrates Canton issued a declaration read in front of the Serin City Council building by Nayef al-Sallal,  leader of the al-Nasser tribe. The statement said: "Once again, the Syrian regime is shifting focus, completely ignoring what is happening in other Syrian areas and the clear and repeated violations of its sovereignty in Damascus and elsewhere. It is now working to create discord and undermine stability in areas that are currently stable by supporting mercenary groups and overseeing battles in Deir ez-Zor, in coordination with Turkey and other powers, to impose chaos, especially after its failure over a year ago to break the will of the people of Deir ez-Zor and its social and tribal leaders."

The statement added, "We strongly condemn and reject external interventions and the creation of discord aimed at undermining the security and stability of our regions and the repeated mass murders of innocent people, the latest being the massacre in al-Bukamal and al-Dahla, which resulted in 11 martyrs and 15 wounded, including women, children, and the elderly. These practices are a gross violation of human rights, international principles, laws, and norms, and amount to war crimes."

The statement called on everyone to stand united with the Syrian Democratic Forces and internal security forces, prioritizing the country's interests above all else.

Manbij

The sheikhs and dignitaries of the Manbij Canton and a wide range of the Canton's components issued a statement, read in the public square in the center of Manbij by Sheikh Fahd Shalash from Bani Said tribe in Manbij.

The statement indicated that "our tribes, including our women and men, the elderly and the youth, stand side by side with the Syrian Democratic Forces and internal security forces, supporting them with all their strength and resources to maintain the security and stability of the country."

The statement condemned "external interventions and plots aimed at undermining the security and stability of our regions and committing repeated mass murders of innocent, unarmed civilians."

It affirmed that "the tribes and clans of NE Syria will remain a protective shield for the homeland against anyone attempting to undermine its security and stability."

The statement urged "all our fellow citizens to unite and support the Syrian Democratic Forces and internal security forces, asking God to protect our country from all harm and continue to grant us the blessing of security and safety under our unity and solidarity.”
