To document the resistance demonstrated by the Manbij Military Council forces and the Women’s Protection Units against the attacks by the Turkish occupying army on the Qereqozaqê Bridge and Tishrin Dam, journalists Cîhan Bîlgîn and Nazim Dashtan headed to the area on December 8 to report on what was happening there and the resistance shown by the fighters.

Through the videos, photos, and reports they prepared, Cîhan Bîlgîn and Nazim Dashtan succeeded in clarifying the truth about the genocidal attacks carried out by the Turkish occupying army to the global public opinion.

On the morning of their martyrdom, December 19, after the fighters of the Manbij Military Council and the Women’s Protection Units repelled the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, our colleagues headed to the Tishrin Dam to report on the latest developments in the area, the clashes that took place, and to document their outcomes.

Without wasting time, the photos and videos were sent, accompanied by complete information about the effects of those Turkish attacks, at exactly 12:00. On their way back from the Tishrin Dam, they were targeted at 15:20 on the road connecting the town of Serrin and the Tishrin Dam.
