Yesterday, a Turkish fascist group attacked the site of the “Freedom Shift” event, which was organized in the context of demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan in the French city of Strasbourg.

The fascist groups destroyed the banners of the event in the absence of those responsible and then fled.

In this context, the Kurdistan Democratic Community Conference in Europe made a statement, during which it pointed out: “The hostile positions and criminalization policies pursued by the French government, which continue against the struggle of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, have encouraged fascist groups. It is clear that this attack is linked to France’s position.”

The conference called on the French government to take a position on the provocations against them. The conference also called on the people to strengthen the struggle and participate in the event that has been ongoing since June 25, 2012 in the city of Strasbourg.
