Serê Kaniyê and its countryside witnessed widespread looting and vandalism targeting the homes of displaced civilians, coinciding with orders for some Turkish-backed mercenaries to evacuate their positions in the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that members of the "Ahrar al-Sharqiya" and "Jaysh al-Islam" mercenaries carried out the dismantling and looting of civilian property in the town of al-Sefeh and other areas of Serê Kaniyê countryside before withdrawing from the region.

The mercenaries also uprooted doors and windows, pulled out electrical wires, and looted the contents of homes, in addition to vandalizing a fuel station in the village of al-Sefeh.

These actions resulted in the destruction of numerous homes, turning them into empty and damaged buildings, at a time the remaining residents expressed their outrage at the looting of displaced people's property, dismantling and selling them before they left the area.
