Attack targets journalists in Şengal
Three journalists from the Çira Media Foundation, specializing in Yazidi affairs, and another civilian were injured with varying degrees of severity, one of them critically, due to targeting in Şengal District, Iraq.
The crew's vehicle, belonging to Çira TV and Radio, was attacked in the Şengal District while they were returning from covering the tenth anniversary of the Tal Qasab genocide.
The attack resulted in injuries to the three crew members who were in the targeted vehicle. One of them was transferred to a hospital in Mosul due to his critical condition, while the other two are receiving treatment in hospitals in Şengal.
Another vehicle in the area was also damaged, and one of its passengers was injured.
Iraqi security forces and the Ezidkhan Security have begun investigating the incident at the attack site. The investigation is ongoing, and not all details of the incident are clear yet.
