Asayish and General Security hold talks on Kobani Countryside

A meeting is currently being held between the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and a delegation from the General Security in Aleppo, affiliated with the Ministry of Interior of the Syrian Interim Government, as part of renewed coordination efforts under the January 29 agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Interim Government.

The meeting is taking place in the town of Jalabiya in the eastern countryside of Kobani, to discuss the mechanism for implementing the security aspect as a second step following the “Sheikhlar” area phase, as well as the formation of joint security points in the eastern countryside.

ANHA correspondent reported that discussions are still ongoing on the number of checkpoints and how they will be managed.

This meeting comes within the framework of implementing the January 29 agreement between the Syrian Interim Government and the SDF, and as part of ongoing efforts to enhance coordination and cooperation between security bodies to ensure stability and security in the region.

Yesterday in Aleppo, a meeting between the Internal Security Forces in Kobani and the General Security leadership in Aleppo focused on mechanisms for implementing the provisions of the January 29 agreement, coordinating efforts to lift the siege on Kobani, and enhancing security cooperation in the city and its countryside, with the aim of improving the security situation and facilitating civilian movement.
