The last batch of displaced Afrin residents entered into their homes a while ago after embarking on their journey this morning from the cities of Qamishlo, Hasakah, and Derik following the implementation of the January 29 agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government.

The convoy left in the presence of the Deputy Commander of the Internal Security Forces in the Governorate of Hasakah, Mahmoud Khalil, and Mustafa Abdi who is one of the members of the Presidential Team responsible for the implementation of the agreement.

According to Mustafa Abdi, speaking at a news conference, the above-mentioned group is actually the last group of displaced residents of Afrin that have been able to come back home according to the deal. It is worth noting that afterwards, all efforts will be put into preparing everything needed for the return of the displaced residents of Ras al-Ain (Serê Kaniyê).

The arrival of this particular group of displaced residents is preceded by the return of other groups from the regions of Kobani and Jazira; all this is done to fulfill the provisions of the agreement signed on January 29.
