Arrangements to return IDPs from Ras al-Ain to their homes

Arrangements are underway to resume the return convoys of displaced people from Ras al-Ain, led by the Displaced Persons Committee. A meeting was held in the city, attended by the leader Mahmoud Khalil, to discuss the return.

Following the suspension of the return convoy of displaced people from Ras al-Ain/Serekaniye, due to the events that accompanied the first convoy, the Ras al-Ain/Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee is continuing its arrangements to return the displaced to their homes.

A source from the Ras al-Ain/Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee told our agency that the committee is continuing to work on the necessary arrangements for the return of the displaced, noting that work is ongoing to finalize the procedures related to the return.

In this context, a well-informed source told ANHA's agency that a meeting was held today in Ras al-Ain (Sere Kaniye), attended by the Deputy Commander of the Internal Security Forces in Hasakah, Mahmoud Khalil (Siamand Afrin), during which the issue of the return of displaced persons and the related arrangements were discussed.

The two sources did not specify a timeframe for the start of the return process, but indicated that its resumption is imminent.
