Around 700 of Serekaniye families prepare to return to their villages

Around 700 families displaced from the Serekaniye countryside, Tel Tamr and Zerkan, currently residing in the Serekaniye camp in the Hasakah countryside, are preparing to depart today in a convoy heading toward their villages, coinciding with the arrival of a delegation from the transitional government and the Internal Security Forces at the camp.

HASAKAH

Displaced families from the Serekaniye, Tel Tamr and Zerkan countryside, currently residing in the Serekaniye camp in the Hasakah countryside, are preparing today to depart in a convoy of around 700 families, heading toward their villages and areas of origin.

A delegation from the transitional government and the Internal Security Forces arrived at the Serekaniye camp ahead of the convoy’s departure. The delegation is currently holding a meeting with the camp administration and the Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee to discuss arrangements for the return of the displaced and the departure of the convoy.

The convoy is scheduled to depart after the completion of the arrangements and procedures related to the return, with the relevant authorities monitoring the process.

It's worth noting that this convoy is the second convoy. The first convoy departed on August 10 and included approximately 400 families.
