Armenian Council, Arab tribes confirm support for "Enduring Security" operation
Two delegations from the Armenian Social Council and the Arab tribal elders and leaders visited al-Hol camp and met with the camp administration and the command of the "Enduring Security" operations room, which has been conducting search and inspection operations in the camp since November 6.
To affirm their support for the "Enduring Security" operation launched by the Internal Security Forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the Women’s Protection Units in and around al-Hol camp, the two delegations visited the camp and met with both the camp administration and the command of the "Enduring Security" operations.
The first delegation, from the Armenian Social Council, was headed by the Council's co-chair, Yervant Kasparian, the General Council President, Arvi Kasbian, and the Council's General Advisor, Imad Tatrian.
During the meeting, the delegation confirmed the Council's support for the "Enduring Security" operation, considering it essential for maintaining security and stability in the region.
The delegation emphasized the need for an Enduring solution to the issue of ISIS detainees in prisons in North and East Syria, as well as their family members in the camps. They also highlighted the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in this regard.
At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation presented commemorative shields on behalf of the Council to the al-Hol camp administration and the command of the "Enduring Security" operations.
The second delegation included more than 20 figures from the sheikhs and elders of the Arab tribes in Jazera Canton.
During their visit, the delegation reviewed the camp’s situation as well as the progress and achievements of the "Enduring Security" operation thus far.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the "Enduring Security" forces for their efforts to protect residents from ISIS sleeper cells in al-Hol’s countryside and for clearing the camp of these cells to enable residents to live in security and safety.
The sheikhs and tribal elders confirmed their full support for the operation and for the security and military forces in North and East Syria in their efforts to maintain security and stability in the region and uphold the brotherhood among communities.
The "Enduring Security" operation continues into its seventh day within al-Hol camp and has achieved positive results in clearing both the countryside of al-Hol and the camp itself of ISIS sleeper cells.
