Ali Badrakhan: Struggle is solution to Kurdish issue, Ocalan expresses suffering of his people

The Egyptian director of Kurdish origins told ANHA agency, “The public pressure on Ocalan’s case and the constant talk about his case and the violations have positive results on the leader’s case.”

Badrakhan believes that “the violations on leader Ocalan express the reality of the Kurdish people who have been living for centuries under oppression and injustice.”

He continued: "For centuries, the Kurds have faced massacres, genocides, campaigns of abuse, international conspiracies, and global complicity. Therefore, what Ocalan is exposed to is part of the global and international injustice to which the entire Kurdish people have been exposed for centuries."

Badrakhan linked the Kurdish and Palestinian issue to what the two peoples are suffering, “The suffering of the Kurdish people is no less than the oppression of the Palestinian issue, and may even be decades older than it, calling on the world to deal with the Kurdish and Palestinian suffering with a kind of humanity and conscience and to stop dealing with the law of the jungle.”

Regarding Arab-Kurdish relations, Badrakhan stressed that “the Kurds and Arabs have one interest, and their rapprochement and unity are necessary, noting at the same time that this rapprochement will not happen without ending injustice, stopping violations, and preventing racism and discrimination against any components or races.”

He pointed out "the necessity of reconsidering the Sykes-Picot Agreement, which divided the countries of the Middle East and created injustice and crises in the region, considering that the establishment of the State of Kurdistan on its historical lands would be a solution to many crises in the region."

 Badrakhan hoped to "establish a new world order instead of the current regime which  became under the control of colonial powers at the expense of vulnerable peoples."
