Aldar Khalil: Autonomous Administration as path to freedom, democracy, unity

The Hasaka City Council in Jazera Canton organized a mass march today, Tuesday, to affirm support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and their sacrifices in facing Turkish occupation attacks targeting the region of NE Syria. Thousands from all components of the city and its countryside participated in the march.

Syria for All Syrians...

In his speech before the participating crowds, Aldar Khalil said: "After the departure of Bashar al-Assad and the fall of the Ba'ath regime, a new phase began in Syria. In this phase, we affirm that Syria must be for everyone."

He added: "The Syrian Democratic Forces are not forces for a particular group, but rather are forces to protect all components. The North and East Syria region has become a model for the implementation of the democratic system and the fraternity of peoples, as well as a living example of the role of women and their free leadership."

A Democratic Project for National Unity

Aldar Khalil emphasized that the project of the Democratic Autonomous Administration is based on the philosophy of democratic nationhood, explaining that "the components of North and East Syria are an inseparable part of Syria. We have no separatist or hostile intentions, but we present a democratic project that has proven successful. This project could be the basis for writing a new constitution that achieves democracy and ensures the unity of Syria."

He pointed out that the previously adopted centralized nationalist project is the main reason for the division of the region and driving it into internal conflicts, asserting that the Autonomous Administration project is the solution to unify the country and ensure a shared future for all its components.

A Message...

In a message directed to the officials in Damascus, Khalil said: "We present this project on behalf of all the components of North and East Syria. If you are looking for freedom, democracy, and the unity of Syria, then the project of the Autonomous Administration is the solution."

A Warning about Turkey's Expansionist Ambitions

Aldar Khalil also addressed the negative role played by the Turkish occupying state in the region, stating: "The Turkish occupying state seeks to revive its Ottoman dreams by occupying more Syrian lands and supporting mercenary groups to destabilize the region."

He stressed that if the Turkish occupying state truly aims to achieve security for the Syrian people, it must withdraw from Syrian lands and allow the Syrian people to decide their own fate.

A Tribute to the Resistance and the Sacrifices of Martyrs

Aldar Khalil concluded his speech by paying tribute to the forces defending Manbij, the Tishrin Dam, and the entire North and East Syria region. He praised the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives in the face of aggression, saying: "We bow in reverence before the greatness of the martyrs, especially martyr Aziz Arab, who fought heroically within the ranks of the Manbij Military Council against the attacks."
