The head of the Druze community, Hikmat al-Hijri, issued a statement announcing the dissolution of the "Legal Committee in Bashan" and the appointment of Judge Shadi Fayez Murshid to form a new administrative council for the region.

In his statement, al-Hijri explained that the formation of the Legal Committee was a response to exceptional circumstances during a previous period, emphasizing that its dissolution is part of a transition to a more organized administrative structure based on competence and experience.

The statement indicated that the new council will operate according to professional standards, free from sectarian quotas, and will include specialists with both academic and field experience to manage the region's affairs and meet the needs of its residents.

Judge Shadi Fayez Murshid was tasked with forming the "Administrative Council of Jabal Bashan," which will be an administrative body based on purely professional management standards, placing the right person in the right position—someone with academic expertise and field experience—who has dedicated themselves to serving their community.

The statement clarified that the new administration is a "crisis management" body, focused on addressing the repercussions of the current situation, including securing livelihoods and strengthening internal stability
