Al-Hamdoun al-Sharabia Tribe: Leader’s message is a sincere call to build a homeland of security, stability

Sheikh Mahmoud Ahmed al-Hassan, the Sheikh of al-Hamdoun al-Sharabia tribe in the village of Arour Al-Sharabia, affiliated with Gerkî Lekî, affirmed that the message sent by Leader Abdullah Ocalan to the Syrian tribes deeply touched his sentiments.

Sheikh Mahmoud Ahmed Al-Hassan explained: “The Leader’s message carried noble content calling for the unity of all components, Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Armenians, and Assyrians—and emphasized the principle of brotherhood among peoples and the consolidation of national unity without exclusion or marginalization of any group. When I read it, I felt as if it was addressed personally to me and to all members of my tribe. It is a sincere call to build a homeland governed by security and stability.”

Mahmoud Ahmed Al-Hassan affirmed that they look forward to seeing this message realized practically through tangible steps, foremost among them the implementation of the March 10 agreement, which includes provisions that preserve the rights of peoples and guarantee their dignity. He said, “We hereby declare our full support for the peace initiative called for by the Leader in Turkey, as it represents a beacon of hope not only for the peoples of the region but for humanity as a whole.”

Al-Hassan pointed out that through his message, Leader Abdullah Ocalan presented a model of a man of peace and humanity. He clarified: “The fighters who responded to his call, burned their weapons, and chose the path of democratic solution have practically embodied the sincerity of this call. This is evidence that peace is possible if the will exists.”

Sheikh Mahmoud Ahmed al-Hassan emphasized: “The call for peace and the democratic society proposed by the Leader is not merely a political settlement but a comprehensive humanitarian project aimed at consolidating national unity and building a shared future based on justice and equality. We fully support the Leader’s message, seeing in it a roadmap that guarantees security and stability for all peoples.”

Leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a message on September 14 to the sheikhs and dignitaries of the tribes of al-Jazira canton, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Tabqa, saying: “I stand in support of the brotherhood and alliance between the Kurdish and Arab peoples due to its historical foundation.”
