On Thursday, April 10, the second humanitarian convoy departed from the city of Qamishlo in the Jazira Region, carrying approximately 14,000 food and hygiene baskets in addition to tons of flour. However, its entry into coastal regions was blocked by forces loyal to the Damascus government.

In separate statements issued by the people of Tabqa and Raqqa, residents expressed their deep disapproval of this obstruction, denouncing it as a hindrance to essential humanitarian efforts.

The statements emphasized that despite prior coordination with the relevant authorities, the second convoy was denied access to its destination without any official explanation being provided.

The residents urged humanitarian organizations and relevant international bodies to fulfill their responsibilities by facilitating the delivery of aid and securing humanitarian corridors that ensure safe and unimpeded access to the affected populations in Syria’s coastal regions.
