The Democratic Union Party (PYD) organized a meeting in Tirbespiyê, in Jazira Canton, with the elders and sheikhs of the Arab tribes to discuss the latest political developments in the region, including the reasons for and importance of holding the Kurdish Unity and Common Stance Conference.

The meeting, held in the PYD hall in the city, began with a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs. Then, Suleiman Arab, a member of the Public Relations Committee of the PYD Council, spoke. At the beginning of his speech, he highlighted the importance of the Kurdish Unity and Common Stance Conference as a step toward reaching understandings with all Syrian components and the Damascus authorities.

He explained that the conference aims to end disputes among Kurdish parties and achieve the unity that has already been realized among all components, while also preventing any regional or international party from exploiting Kurdish disagreements.

He added, "Since the beginning of the revolution, the Democratic Union Party, along with the peoples and components of the North and East Syria, chose the third way and was able to achieve significant accomplishments through this unity and policy."

He also touched on the major role played by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in defeating terrorism and preserving Syria’s territorial unity.

In turn, the tribal elders and sheikhs emphasized during their interventions the importance of the unity and solidarity of the components of North and East Syria in order to complete the project of building a united, democratic Syria for all Syrians and to support the Syrian Democratic Forces.
