The Afrin - Syria Human Rights Organization reported that settlers affiliated with Turkish occupation mercenaries cut down approximately 25 fruitful olive trees in the village of Hasiya Mirkan in Mobata on the morning of Friday, May 30. Additionally, a number of other trees, about 70% of the total in a field located in Maghar Jaqqa and owned by citizen Mustafa Mahmoud Hammaliko, were damaged.

On Wednesday, May 28, settlers also cut down 30 olive trees from a nearby grove owned by citizen Nadhir Mohammed Kanjo Khamees, with some trees uprooted and others severely damaged.

In a related context, theft of vineyards belonging to farmers in the village of Mirkan Hasiya has escalated, carried out by settlers and mercenaries of the Sultan Suleiman Shah faction ("al-Amshat"). The vineyards belong to citizens Ahmed Mohammed, Khalil Hamdi, Farouq Hamid, Farid Hamo, and Majid Suleiman. Additionally, vehicles and motorcycles have been stolen in Afrin and its countryside.

The policy of intimidation, organized targeting, and systematic violations by the Turkish occupation against the people of Afrin continues, aiming at their economic exhaustion after repeated failures to impose demographic change in the region.
