711,180 signatures collected in Manbij

Today, the Syrian Popular Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Manbij delivered a statement announcing the end of collecting signatures for the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The statement was read at the municipal stadium in downtown Manbij by the member of the initiative, Sadiq Al-Asidi.

The statement affirmed: “We announce the end of collecting signatures in Manbij where the number has reached 711,180 signatures. So we call on the international community to assume their responsibilities towards the will of the peoples, who demand justice for the leader Abdullah Ocalan and his companions in Imrali prison.”

The statement stressed, "We pledge that we will continue to demand the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan by all means, and we will follow the path of struggle and resistance until our leader obtains his physical freedom. In the name of the Syrian Popular Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Ocalan, we value the efforts of all the people of Manbij and send a combative salute to the hunger strikers in Turkish prisons who stood in solidarity with the global campaign for the freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.”
