According to a statement by the forces, the Anti-Narcotics Department in Tabqa Canton managed to arrest six individuals on April 19 on charges of drug use in various areas of the canton.
This operation comes as part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat the scourge of drugs, which poses a significant threat to society, and in continuation of their assigned duties to curb the spread of this menace.
After receiving information indicating the presence of several individuals using narcotic substances within the canton, the investigation teams in the Anti-Narcotics Department began surveillance and evidence collection to confirm the suspects' involvement. The operation resulted in their arrest and the seizure of various quantities of drugs in their possession.
The statement confirmed that during initial investigations, the detainees confessed to using narcotic substances and were referred to the competent judiciary to complete the legal procedures against them.
