5 people killed in Baniyas and Homs by armed groups

Killings, field executions and violations carried out by armed groups in Syria continue. In the city of Baniyas in the countryside of Tartous, unidentified gunmen opened fire on two people near a café at the Baniyas-Jableh intersection, killing a former officer and a worker in the café, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. .

Several cars belonging to factions linked to the Damascus authority also stormed the village of Al-Dabin in the Homs countryside and attacked a resident's house, killing a young man and wounding his father-in-law.

The Syrian Observatory indicated that the people found the body of a young man killed by direct bullets in the head area, and his body bore signs of torture, dumped near the Tal al-Nasr cemetery in the Homs countryside. According to information, he comes from the village of Al-Kanasia in the western countryside of Homs and was arrested by gunmen working with the Operations Military o Department  n January 22nd.

In this context, the body of a former scientific research engineer colonel, a resident of the village of Al-Qanaqiya in the Homs countryside, arrived at the Homs Grand Hospital, more than 10 days after his arrest by factions affiliated with the Damascus authority, in the village on January 23, according to the Observatory.
