Five members of the National Defense Forces were killed today in an attack by ISIS mercenaries while they were collecting truffle mushrooms in the vicinity of the Tal Salamah area in the countryside of the city of Salamiyah, east of Hama, while the attackers fled to an unknown destination, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Every year, citizens go to the desert in search of truffles to sell, as the Syrian Observatory reported today that 3 members of the National Defense were killed, in addition to the injury of 3 children as a result of mines planted by ISIS in both the Palmyra and Deir ez-Zor deserts.
