A source from the High Electoral Commission in the North and East Syria region revealed that 4 political parties in the North and East Syria region demanded the postponement of the municipal elections scheduled to be held on June 11.

The sources indicated that the parties "the Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party, the National Democratic Change and Development Party, the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria (Yekiti) and the Syrian Homeland Party" were the ones who submitted the request to postpone the elections.

According to the decision of the High Elections Commission, municipal elections will be held on June 11. Two coalitions, three parties, and several independents filed to run in the elections.

According to the information, the High Elections Commission will issue a statement about this in the coming days.
