4 arrested, drugs seized in Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh

The Internal Security Forces in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh announced the arrest of four individuals involved in the promotion and use of narcotic substances during security operations. Various quantities of "banned" substances were also seized in their possession.

As part of its ongoing campaigns to combat the scourge of drugs, the Internal Security Forces in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh reported the arrest of four drug dealers and users during simultaneous security operations carried out on Wednesday, May 7. Various types of banned substances were confiscated from them.

In a statement, it was announced:

“The Anti-Drug Unit in the city of Aleppo succeeded in arresting four individuals involved in the promotion and use of narcotic substances during separate security operations carried out today, Wednesday, May 7, in both the eastern and western parts of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, as well as in Ashrafieh neighborhood.

Our forces stated that the operation was based on precise intelligence, and the raids led to the seizure of various narcotic substances found in the possession of the suspects, including:

385 grams of hashish paste

854 Captagon pills

81 narcotic pills of various types

70 ml of crystal meth

The Anti-Drug Unit confirmed that investigations are still ongoing with the detainees, while efforts continue to track down others involved in drug trafficking and distribution networks.

Our forces call on residents to cooperate and provide any information that may help combat this scourge, emphasizing that the campaigns will continue to ensure the safety and security of the community.”
