Three people, including two brothers, were killed by unknown gunmen in the city of Homs, amid a state of security chaos.

 Amid a rise in assassination crimes in the city of Homs, which has been witnessing continued killings by unknown gunmen, and in the midst of a state of security breakdown, unknown gunmen stormed the home of a citizen from the Alawite community on Al-Zeer Street in the Karm al-Zeitoun neighborhood of Homs after midnight on Thursday-Friday. They killed him along with his brother, then threw their bodies into the street.

 In a related context, the body of an engineer from the village of al-Sha'irat in the southern countryside of Homs, who belonged to the Alawite community and worked in the field of well inspection, was found killed near the town of Kafraya, south of the city. This came 24 hours after contact with him was lost while he was on his way to inspect a water well as part of his job, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

 With this, the number of victims of retaliatory and assassination crimes since the beginning of 2025 in various Syrian regions has reached 544 people, according to the Observatory's documentation. They include 523 men, 14 women, and 7 children.
