22,215 Lebanese and nearly 65,000 Syrians entered Syria

Al-Watan newspaper, which is close to the Damascus government, quoted a source in the Immigration and Passports Department, that the number of Lebanese arrivals since the start of the Israeli escalation on Lebanon reached 22,215 Lebanese.

The source pointed out that the number of Syrians returning to the country amounted to about 65,000 Syrians.

Media reports revealed that there are hundreds of Syrians in Lebanon, who have been displaced from areas of Southern Lebanon that are under Israeli bombardment, waiting at the Lebanese-Syrian border because of their inability to meet the condition of "disbursing $100 on the border," which is imposed by the Damascus government.

The military escalation between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah since last Monday prompted tens of thousands of Syrians, who work in Lebanon or went to Lebanon during the start of the Syrian crisis, to return to their country, after the recent escalation claimed hundreds of lives.

On September 24, the representative of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Lebanon formed a committee to follow up on the affairs of Syrian refugees wishing to return, who are residents of the NE Syria region.

Yesterday, more than 1,300 Syrians returning from Lebanon arrived in Raqqa Canton in the NE Syria region.

The representative of the Autonomous Administration in Lebanon has begun to register the names of those wishing to return and operate their own flights to the region in batches, where the return flights of refugees are organized through buses that will transport them at "half the price" after the suspension of air traffic between the city of Qamishlo and Beirut.
