A local source from the countryside of the occupied city of Girê Spî reported that Khaled Al-Sayed, a resident of Ain Al-Arous in the southern countryside, was robbed of $22,000 USD, in addition to his phone and other documents.

This is the second such incident this month, following the assault and robbery of a person with disabilities inside his shop in the occupied town of Suluk.

According to the source, theft and extortion cases have increased recently after Turkey cut off the salaries of its mercenaries.

Turkey and its mercenaries occupied the city of Girê Spî following an offensive launched on October 9, 2019. Since then, the region has witnessed chaos and the looting of citizens’ property by mercenaries, amid international silence on the violations committed by Turkey and its mercenaries in the occupied areas of Syria.
