2 ISIS mercenaries arrested in Deir ez-Zor countryside

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria issued a statement regarding its forces' clash with members of ISIS mercenary cell in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor province. The statement included,

"As part of our mission to protect the security and stability of our regions, our forces in the General Security Service clashed on Saturday afternoon with two ISIS terrorists near Muhaimidah town, as the terrorists were riding a motorcycle. This occurred after they were spotted targeting a vehicle carrying members of our forces in the Operations Division on Saturday morning, in the same location."

The statement added, "Our forces managed to locate the attackers, accurately monitor them, and arrest them after a short clash. One of them was injured; however, no casualties were reported among our forces. The motorcycle and a number of weapons and ammunition were confiscated. We will present their detailed confessions to the public as soon as the investigations are completed."

The statement affirmed, "We will continue our forces' efforts to combat terrorism and protect our people." We pledge to strike the hideouts of terrorist cells without hesitation, and we call on the residents to cooperate and report any suspicious movements.
