179 Iraqi families leave al-Hol camp.

As part of the coordination between the administration of al-Hol Camp, the security committee, and the migration and displaced persons committee in the Iraqi Parliament, a new batch of Iraqi refugees consisting of 704 individuals from 179 families left al-Hol Camp east of the city of al-Hasakah in the Jazira region of North and East Syria today, Wednesday. 

 This is the third batch for Iraqis this year.

 The second batch left the camp on June 4 of this year, comprising 556 people from 170 families, while the first batch left the camp on April 28, comprising 714 people from 191 families.

 The convoy left the camp at 15:00 in a convoy of buses, accompanied by tight security from the internal security forces and the international coalition, heading towards the Iraqi border.

 The al-Hol Camp, considered one of the most dangerous camps in the world due to housing families of ISIS mercenaries in some of its sections, currently shelters 42,781 people, according to the latest statistics obtained by our agency from the camp administration. Among them are 19,530 Iraqis, 16,779 Syrians, and 6,461 foreigners, with 11 individuals of unknown nationality.
