Metro Center condemns the targeting of journalists by Turkish occupation state

The Metro Center for the Protection of Journalists' Rights condemned the Turkish state's attack on (JIN TV) staff in NE, Syria, and stressed the need for the international community to carry out its duties regarding the Turkish state's attacks on civilians and civil institutions.

The Metro Center for the Protection of the Rights of Journalists published a statement regarding the attack launched by the occupied Turkish state yesterday on the crew of (JIN TV) channel in NE, Syria, which resulted in the martyrdom of a worker in the channel and the injury of a reporter.

The Metro Center statement stated that this is not the first time that the Turkish state has attacked civilians with aircraft, and said: “On October 13, 2019, a convoy of civilian vehicles was bombed in SereKaniye, 11 people were killed and 74 others were injured as a result of the attack. In that attack, the reporter of Hawar News Agency, Saad Ahmed, was martyred and seven other journalists, including foreigners, were wounded.
