Today, lawyers of the Al-Asr Human Rights Office; Ibrahim Bilmes, Radia Ozturk, Omran Amekji, and Cengiz Yurkli applied with a new request to the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa, Turkey, and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan.

They also submitted requests to meet their other clients in Imrali Hayri Kunar Prison, Hamili Yıldırım and Vesi Aktaş.

Lawyers for Al-Asr Human Rights Office submit requests to meet with their clients twice a week, no information has been received about the leader and the Imrali detainees since March 25, 2021.

While the last meeting with the leader took place on August 7, 2019, and since that date, the Turkish authorities have imposed strict isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has been detained since 1999, following an international conspiracy that began on October 9, 1998 when he left Syria heading to Moscow to be arrested on February 15, 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed over to the Turkish authorities.

In addition to strict isolation, the Turkish authorities impose "disciplinary penalties"on the leader to deprive him of the "right to hope" that allows the detainee to obtain his physical freedom after 25 years of arrest.
