Jabbour tribe gives "National Defense" period of time to leave the area

The Jabbour tribe gave the "National Defense" members loyal to the Damascus government forces a period of time to leave the security square in the city of Hasaka and the tribe's advisor, Akram Mahshosh, confirmed: " insulting notables of the tribe is unacceptable thing."

On Sunday, the city of Hasaka witnessed tension between the members of the Jabbour tribe and members of the "National Defense" loyal to the Damascus government, after they assaulted and insulted one of the sheikhs of the Jabbour tribe, which sparked discontent among the tribe's people, so they gathered in the vicinity of the security square and stormed it.

Private sources told ANHA agency that the tension is still ongoing between the two parties, while the tribe's notables have given a period of time for the "National Defense" members and their leader to leave the area.

ANHA agency conducted an interview with the advisor of the Jabbour tribe and one of its notables, Akram Mahshosh to shed light on the events of yesterday, and the tribe's reaction to it.

Mahshosh explained: " On Sunday, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Muslat, one of the notables of the Jabbour tribe was inside his car, and a group of National Defense militias, accompanied by their leader, insulted and beat the sheikh in front of everyone in the city center under the flimsy pretext that his nephew, the driver, hit one of their members over traffic jam.

Mahshosh added: "After the attack on the Sheikh, the tribes held a meeting to find out the reasons. However, there were no reasons, but rather it was a plot hatched against him, since Sheikh Abdul Aziz is reviewing the Autonomous Administration to manage the affairs of his tribe."

Insulting Sheikh Abdul Aziz is a message to all tribal notables

Mahshosh confirmed: "Insulting Sheikh Abdel Aziz is a message from the mercenaries of the National Defense to all the tribal sheikhs, so that they do not deal with the Autonomous Administration.

After the meeting, the sons of the tribe decided to enter the security square and storm the building of the National Defense mercenaries peacefully, and demand the dissolution of the non-national defense who wreaked havoc in the region for more than 6 years.

Mahshosh noted: "All the tribes and clans in Deir Ezzor and Raqqa have expressed their willingness to stand by the tribe, and after our sons stormed the security square, the clans' notables met with officials in the Syrian state in order to solve the non-national defense, and the Syrian state asked for a deadline to dissolve the militias, which are until 18:00 in the evening.

Akram Mahshosh confirmed, "We are waiting until six o'clock, and there will be a statement for the tribe, if the results are positive, among our demands, which is the dissolution of these mercenary groups and the expelling their leader."
