Syrian soldier killed in western countryside of Aleppo

A member of the Damascus government forces was killed in the western countryside of Aleppo, and exchanged targeting between the Damascus government forces and the "Al-Fateh Al-Mubin" mercenaries, in the de-escalation zone.

According to SOHR, a member of the Damascus government forces was killed by sniper fire from the mercenaries of "Al-Fateh Al-Mubin" on the axis of the 46th Regiment in the western countryside of Aleppo.

In a related context, the de-escalation zone witnessed ground shelling between the forces of the Damascus government on the one hand, and the mercenaries of "Al-Fateh Al-Mubin" on the other, as the Damascus government forces shelled with artillery the vicinity of the village of Al-Sarmaniyeh in the western countryside of Hama.

On the other hand, the "Al-Fateh Al-Mubin" mercenaries targeted, with artillery shells and missiles, military sites belonging to the forces on the Basratoun axis in the western Hama countryside, and the Maar Dabsah axis in the southern Idlib countryside, no information on casualties was reported.

The Syrian Observatory referred to the statistics within the de-escalation zones, as the number of civilian and military deaths rose to 264 since the beginning of 2023, during 186 operations, which varied between attacks, sniping operations, clashes and targeting.
