Royalties for living in their homes in occupied Afrin

Sources from the occupied Afrin canton reported that the Turkmen mercenaries of "Sultan Suleiman Shah", affiliated with the Turkish occupation army, are imposing royalties on the people of the village of Merkan / Hasiyeh of Mobata district, in return for allowing them to stay in their homes.

According to the sources, the mercenaries are now imposing royalties on every citizen who wants to stay in their house, ranging from 500 to 1,000 US dollars, and this is done under the leadership of the mercenary Abu Hussein al-Asharneh, the security official in the village.

The sources indicated that the mercenaries of (Sultan Suleyman Shah) imposed royalties of US dollars on the citizen Jamil Muhammad Haji Kanj (1000) dollars - Majeed Taher Hamdi (1000) dollars - Mustafa Muhammad Abdo (1000) dollars - the family of Muhammad Hamdi (1000) dollars - Mustafa Muhammad Manan (500) dollars - Maryam Kanj Khamis (500) dollars - Ismat Mustafa Hamo (500) dollars; to let them stay in their village and homes.

And sources had reported, earlier in March 2023, that the mercenaries of "Sultan Suleyman Shah" imposed royalties of the amount of (1000) dollars on the two citizens (Muhammad Hanif Hussein - Aziz Muhammad Hassan) from the people of Sheh district, in exchange for allowing them to reside in their village and home.

The series of crimes committed by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation against citizens in the occupied Afrin canton continues, including killing, kidnapping and imposing royalties, in clear violation of all covenants, international covenants and human rights treaties.
