Leader's lawyers, Ocalan, submit a request to meet with him

Lawyers for Al-Asr Human Rights Office submitted a request to the Public Prosecution Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate in order to meet with leader Abdullah Ocalan.

On Monday, the lawyers of the Human Rights Office, Rezan Sarija, Radia Ozturk, Mazlum Deng, and Faik Ozgur Arol, submitted a new request to the Public Prosecution Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate in order to meet with their clients, Leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omar Khairi Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Vesi Aktaş, who are being subjected to for strict isolation.

No information has been received about the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the other detainees in Imrali for two years and four months.

The last communication of the leader Abdullah Ocalan with the outside world was, on the 25th of March 2021, during a 5-minute phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan, then he disconnected.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested as a result of an international conspiracy, the first of which began on the 9th of October 1998 when he left Syria heading to Moscow, to be arrested on the 15th of February 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed over to the Turkish authorities.
